D\u00e4rf\u00f6r beh\u00f6vs tidiga insatser f\u00f6r att st\u00e4rka ungas sj\u00e4lvskattade h\u00e4lsa. Det visas i en ny avhandling vid Ume\u00e5 universitet som bygger p\u00e5 studier av unga i Dalarna och Ume\u00e5.<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><br>\u2013 Det \u00e4r viktigt att f\u00e5nga upp signalerna tidigt f\u00f6r att kunna s\u00e4tta in \u00e5tg\u00e4rder. L\u00e5g sj\u00e4lvskattad h\u00e4lsa har stor betydelse f\u00f6r individens framtid och kan, om inget g\u00f6rs, ge \u00f6kad risk f\u00f6r framtida sjuklighet och d\u00f6d. Att st\u00f6tta ungdomar att m\u00e5 bra \u00e4r bra b\u00e5de f\u00f6r samh\u00e4llet och f\u00f6r individen. En b\u00f6rjan \u00e4r att helt enkelt fr\u00e5ga hur de m\u00e5r, s\u00e4ger Junia Joffer, doktorand vid Ume\u00e5 universitet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I sin avhandling har Junia Joffer intervjuat ungdomar i grundskolans \u00e5rskurs sju och gymnasiets \u00e5rskurs tre om sj\u00e4lvskattad h\u00e4lsa och social status i skolan. Hon har speciellt intresserat sig f\u00f6r ungdomars tolkning av enk\u00e4tfr\u00e5gan&nbsp;<em>Man kan m\u00e5 bra ibland och d\u00e5ligt ibland. Hur m\u00e5r du f\u00f6r det mesta?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">H\u00f6g status i skolan viktigt f\u00f6r att m\u00e5 bra<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>Det gick att se ett positivt samband mellan att m\u00e5 bra och att ha en h\u00f6g social status i skolan. Statusen unders\u00f6ktes genom en statusstege, d\u00e4r ungdomarna sj\u00e4lva fick skatta sin status i skolan p\u00e5 en tiogradig skala. Vid ytterligare intervjuer bekr\u00e4ftades statushierarkierna. Ungdomarna \u00e4r tvungna f\u00f6rh\u00e5lla sig till ett komplext verk av informella regler och normer som m\u00e5nga g\u00e5nger \u00e4r sn\u00e4va. Det handlar om traditionella f\u00f6rv\u00e4ntningar p\u00e5 utseende och beteende. Hos pojkar v\u00e4rderas det h\u00f6gt att vara stark, sj\u00e4lvs\u00e4ker och sportig, medan flickor f\u00f6rv\u00e4ntas vara s\u00f6ta, ha snygga kl\u00e4der och fint h\u00e5r.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>H\u00e4lften av ungdomarna rapporterade en of\u00f6r\u00e4ndrad sj\u00e4lvskattad h\u00e4lsa fr\u00e5n \u00e5rskurs sju till trean i gymnasiet. En stor del av ungdomarna uppger att de p\u00e5 det hela taget m\u00e5r bra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">M\u00e5nga m\u00e5r bra men flickor m\u00e5r s\u00e4mre<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 \u00c4ven om m\u00e5nga m\u00e5r bra, finns det orov\u00e4ckande tendenser. F\u00f6r en relativt stor grupp blir den sj\u00e4lvupplevda h\u00e4lsan s\u00e4mre under ungdoms\u00e5ren. Andelen som tycker sig ha mycket bra h\u00e4lsa \u00e4r ocks\u00e5 l\u00e4gre bland flickor \u00e4n pojkar. Det kr\u00e4vs mycket arbete med normer f\u00f6r att skapa f\u00f6r\u00e4ndring, s\u00e4ger Junia Joffer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Avhandlingen bygger dels p\u00e5 en l\u00e5ngtidsstudie d\u00e4r drygt ettusen ungdomar i Falun, Borl\u00e4nge och Ume\u00e5 har f\u00f6ljts i \u00e5rskurs sju, \u00e5tta, nio samt i \u00e5rskurs tre p\u00e5 gymnasiet, dels p\u00e5 en intervjustudie med 58 ungdomar i Falun i sjuan och i \u00e5rskurs tre p\u00e5 gymnasiet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><em>Junia Joffer arbetar med folkh\u00e4lsofr\u00e5gor och folkh\u00e4lsoanalys vid Region Dalarna.
